Nakia Prileau-Connor
Expertise & Background
Nakia Prileau-Connor is a New York–based certified coach, corporate wellness advisor, and community builder whose work sits at the intersection of leadership, well-being, and culture. Her approach combines the rigor of organizational strategy with a human-centered understanding of what it means to thrive, individually and collectively.
Before founding GRAVITAS, Nakia held leadership roles in marketing, strategy, and business development within the professional services sector, most recently with AO Shearman, the world’s third-largest multinational law firm, where she led business development efforts for its Private Capital Industry Group and helped advance leadership and community initiatives through Shearman Women, the firm’s global women’s network.
Approach & Vision
Nakia’s work is guided by the belief that work and wellness are inseparable from culture and community. Through GRAVITAS, she leads initiatives that reimagine how organizations, leaders, and communities build resilience, cultivate well-being, and create meaningful impact.
Her approach is supported by an extended network of credentialed experts across leadership, wellness, mental health, sports and technology, allowing GRAVITAS to deliver programs that address the full spectrum of human and organizational development. Drawing on both domestic and international experience, Nakia brings cultural awareness and global fluency to her work, ensuring relevance across diverse teams and communities.
In parallel, Nakia is developing an innovative AI-enhanced community platform designed to support purpose-driven individuals and organizations in building intentional, connected spaces for growth and collaboration.
Nakia holds an MBA from Cornell University, a BA in Communications Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and is a certified *Trauma of Money™ Practitioner.
